Privacy Policy
This policy covers Spincentive, operated by SalesText AI LLC. It is written for both the customers who spin the wheel and the businesses that run it. Last updated August 9, 2026.
What we collect from customers
- Phone number, your name, and optionally your email address, when you claim a prize.
- A consent record: what you agreed to, when, and from what device (IP address and browser), kept as legal proof of your opt-in.
- Spin and redemption activity — which prize you won and whether the code was redeemed.
- Optionally, your birthday month and day if you choose to share it for a birthday offer. Never the year.
- If you separately opt in to Spincentive Rewards, your membership and reward activity across participating businesses. Rewards is its own opt-in with its own consent language — spinning one business’s wheel never enrolls you.
How it is used
Your number is used to deliver your redemption code and, if you opted in, marketing messages from the specific business where you spun. Your information is visible to that business the way a signup sheet on their counter would be. It is never sold, and no mobile information is shared with third parties for their own promotional or marketing purposes.
Who touches the data
Messages are delivered through Twilio and payments are processed by Stripe; both act as processors under their own privacy terms. We do not store card numbers — Stripe holds them. Consent and message records are stored in our database for as long as the law requires proof of consent (at least four years), even after you opt out, because the record of the opt-out is itself the proof.
Children’s privacy
Spincentive is not directed to children, and you must be at least 13 years old to spin, claim a prize, or submit any information. Where a business serves alcohol, the wheel requires you to confirm you are 21 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have — for example, a parent or guardian tells us at jacob@spincentive.com— we will delete it promptly. This is our obligation under the federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and we take it seriously.
Cookies and tracking
We use only functional cookies: keeping you signed in to a dashboard or Rewards session, and remembering that a wheel was already played. No advertising trackers, no third-party analytics cookies, no selling or sharing of browsing behavior.
Your privacy rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask for a copy, or ask us to delete it — and exercising these rights never changes how a business treats you. Residents of California and other states with consumer privacy laws have these rights by statute; we honor the same requests from everyone. Send requests to jacob@spincentive.comand we will respond within the time your state’s law requires (45 days in most states). We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of selling.
Security and retention
Data is stored encrypted in transit and at rest with access limited to what operating the service requires. We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above — except consent and opt-out records, which the law requires us to retain as proof (at least four years).
Opting out and deletion
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from that business. To request deletion of your name and number beyond what consent-record law requires us to keep, or to ask anything about your data, contact jacob@spincentive.com.
Merchant account data
For businesses: we collect your business details, EIN, and contact information to register your account and comply with carrier requirements for business messaging. Your customer list belongs to you — export it any time from the dashboard. We do not use one business's customer list for any other business's benefit.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it, and material changes to how consented data is used would require fresh consent — never a silent update.
